USA's foreign trade with Netherlands, exports to Netherlands and imports from Netherlands in November 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

Netherlands's share of USA's foreign trade in goods in November 2021 represented a share of 1.9 per cent. Share of USA's that month's exports was 2.9 % and 1.3 % of imports. In November Netherlands was USA's 13. most important foreign trade partner. Amounting trade to worth of $7.9 billion was 23.2 per cent bigger than in November of the previous year. During the month, the balance of trade with Netherlands was $1.4 billion of surplus.

The value of imports from Netherlands was 33.0 per cent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $3.3 billion. Major product categories of imports from Netherlands were Sitc931 (special transactions and commodities not classified according to kind), representing 28.0 percent of imports, Sitc541 (medicinal and pharmaceutical products, other than medicaments of group 542) 15.4 % and Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar) 7.6 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Netherlands were 17.2 percent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $4.6 billion. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude), which represented a share of 17.3 per cent of total exports, Sitc872 (instruments and appliances, n.e.s., for medical, surgical, dental or veterinary purposes) 7.1 % and Sitc542 (medicaments (including veterinary medicaments)) 5.9 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods in early 2021

During January-November trade in goods with Netherlands has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-November of the previous year. Growth was as high as 21.6 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $80.4 billion. During January-November the value of imports was $32.0 billion. The export value was $48.4 billion. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 28.5 % and the value of exports by 17.5 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc931 (special transactions and commodities not classified according to kind), worth $9.8 billion. In export the largest value had Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude), worth being $6.4 billion. The trade balance between USA and Netherlandsin between January and November was in surplus for USA. The timing surplus was $16.5 billion.
