Finland's foreign trade with Brazil, exports to Brazil and imports from Brazil in Juli 2026

In Juli Brazil was Finland's 25. largest foreign trade partner. Brazil's share of Finland's foreign trade in goods in Juli 2026 represented a share of 0.9 per cent. Share of Finland's that month's exports was 0.9 % and 1.0 % of imports. Amounting trade to worth of €129 million was 87.9 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. In Juli the trade balance with Brazil was €8.8 million in deficit for Finland.

The value of imports from Brazil was 95.1 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting now to €69 million. Major product categories of imports from Brazil were Sitc 283 (copper ores and concentrates; copper mattes; cement copper), representing 26.3 per cent of imports, Sitc 671 (pig-iron, spiegeleisen, sponge iron, iron or steel granules and powders and ferro-alloys) 26.0 % and Sitc 792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof) 16.9 % of the imports.

Exports to Brazil grew strongly over the previous year's Juli. The value of exports was €60 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc 515 (organo-inorganic compounds, heterocyclic compounds, nucleic acids and their salts, and sulphonamides), which represented a share of 14.9 per cent of total exports, Sitc 711 (steam or other vapour-generating boilers, superheated water boilers, and auxiliary plant for use therewith; parts thereof) 13.7 % and Sitc 723 (civil engineering and contractors' plant and equipment; parts thereof) 7.8 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods between Finland and Brazil in early 2026

During January-Juli, trade in goods with Brazil has grown faster than Finnish trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-Juli of the previous year. Growth was as high as 42.5 per cent and the value of the trade increased to €971 million. During January-Juli the value of imports was €546 million. The export value was €425 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 30.9 % and the value of exports by 60.8 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc 289 (ores and concentrates of precious metals; waste, scrap and sweepings of precious metals (other than of gold)), worth €108 million. In export the largest value had Sitc 725 (paper mill and pulp mill machinery, paper-cutting machines and other machinery for the manufacture of paper articles; parts thereof), worth being €47 million. From Finland's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-Juli remained in deficit. The trade deficit was €121 million. The trade deficit narrowed compared to the corresponding period in 2025. At that time, the deficit was €153 million.
