Major product categories of imports from Poland were Sitc681 (silver, platinum and other metals of the platinum group), representing 21.1 percent of imports, Sitc714 (engines and motors, non-electric (other than those of groups 712, 713 and 718); parts, n.e.s., of these engines and motors) 6.2 % and Sitc899 (miscellaneous manufactured articles, n.e.s.) 5.7 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Poland were 44.9 percent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to $488 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), which represented a share of 13.0 per cent of total exports, Sitc343 (natural gas, whether or not liquefied) 10.7 % and Sitc899 (miscellaneous manufactured articles, n.e.s.) 6.8 % of the exports.

Development during January-Juli 2021

During January-Juli trade in goods with Poland has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During January-Juli, the value of trade in goods between the two countries rose to $8.9 billion. Growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 11.2 percent. During January-Juli the value of imports was $5.6 billion. The export value was $3.3 billion. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 10.7% and the value of exports by 12.2%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc681 (silver, platinum and other metals of the platinum group), worth $437 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $486 million. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-Juli remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $2.3 billion. The trade deficit continued to widen compared to the corresponding period in 2020. At that time, the deficit was $2.1 billion.
