USA's foreign trade with Denmark, exports to Denmark and imports from Denmark in November 2021

The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In November Denmark was USA's 34. most important foreign trade partner. Improvement from the previous month was 5 places. Most of the value of trade between the countries consists of the import to USA. Amounting trade to worth of $1.8 billion was 68.5 per cent bigger than in November of the previous year. In November the trade balance with Denmark was $927 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Denmark was 58.3 per cent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $1.4 billion. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc542 (medicaments (including veterinary medicaments)) representing a share of 60.4 per cent.

Exports to Denmark more than doubled from the previous year's November. The value of exports was $429 million.

Development during January-November 2021

During January-November trade in goods with Denmark has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During January-November, the value of trade in goods between the two countries rose to $14.5 billion. Growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 7.4 percent. During January-November the value of imports was $11.1 billion. The export value was $3.4 billion. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 2.7 % and the value of exports by 26.5 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc542 (medicaments (including veterinary medicaments)), worth $5.8 billion. In export the largest value had Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude), worth being $821 million. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-November remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $7.8 billion. The trade deficit narrowed compared to the corresponding period in 2020. At that time, the deficit was $8.2 billion.
