USA's foreign trade with Honduras, exports to Honduras and imports from Honduras in Juli 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In Juli Honduras was USA's 43. most important foreign trade partner. Amounting trade to worth of $1.0 billion was 59.9 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. During the month, the balance of trade with Honduras was $152 million of surplus.

The value of imports from Honduras was 34.7 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to $444 million. Major product categories of imports from Honduras were Sitc845 (articles of apparel, of textile fabrics, whether or not knitted or crocheted, n.e.s.), representing 42.6 percent of imports, Sitc773 (equipment for distributing electricity, n.e.s.) 12.5 % and Sitc071 (coffee and coffee substitutes) 11.9 % of the imports.

Exports to Honduras grew strongly over the previous year's Juli. The value of exports was $596 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), which represented a share of 25.4 per cent of total exports, Sitc651 (textile yarn) 14.1 % and Sitc342 (liquefied propane and butane) 5.3 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods in early 2021

During January-Juli, trade in goods with Honduras has grown faster than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-Juli of the previous year. Growth was as high as 53.3865841917166 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $6.5 billion. During January-Juli the value of imports was $3.0 billion. The export value was $3.6 billion. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 45.7% and the value of exports by 60.5%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc845 (articles of apparel, of textile fabrics, whether or not knitted or crocheted, n.e.s.), worth $1.2 billion. In export the largest value had Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), worth being $702 million. The trade balance between USA and Hondurasin between January and Juli was in surplus for USA. The timing surplus was $594 million.
