USA's foreign trade with Kenya, exports to Kenya and imports from Kenya in Juli 2021

The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In Juli Kenya was USA's 93. most important foreign trade partner. Amounting trade to worth of $103 million was 49.6 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. In Juli the trade balance with Kenya was $18 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Kenya was 46.3 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to $60 million. Major product categories of imports from Kenya were Sitc841 (men's or boys' coats, capes, jackets, suits, blazers, trousers, shorts, shirts, underwear, nightwear and similar articles of textile fabrics, not knitted or crocheted (other than those of subgroup 845.2)), representing 21.4 percent of imports, Sitc845 (articles of apparel, of textile fabrics, whether or not knitted or crocheted, n.e.s.) 20.8 % and Sitc842 (women's or girls' coats, capes, jackets, suits, trousers, shorts, shirts, dresses and skirts, underwear, nightwear and similar articles of textile fabrics, not knitted or crocheted (other than those of subgroup 845.2)) 11.2 % of the imports.

Exports to Kenya grew strongly over the previous year's Juli. The value of exports was $43 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc728 (other machinery and equipment specialized for particular industries; parts thereof, n.e.s.), which represented a share of 26.2 per cent of total exports, Sitc041 (wheat (including spelt) and meslin, unmilled) 19.0 % and Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof) 13.0 % of the exports.

During January-Juli trade in goods with Kenya has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During January-Juli, the value of trade in goods between the two countries rose to $630 million. Growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 12.6 percent. During January-Juli the value of imports was $369 million. The export value was $260 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 10.7% and the value of exports by 15.4%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc841 (men's or boys' coats, capes, jackets, suits, blazers, trousers, shorts, shirts, underwear, nightwear and similar articles of textile fabrics, not knitted or crocheted (other than those of subgroup 845.2)), worth $90 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $39 million. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-Juli remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $109 million.
