USA's foreign trade with Egypt, exports to Egypt and imports from Egypt in November 2021

The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In November Egypt was USA's 44. most important foreign trade partner. Improvement from the previous month was 3 places. Most of the the value of trade consists of USA's exports to Egypt. Amounting trade to worth of $1.1 billion was 79.5 per cent bigger than in November of the previous year. During the month, the balance of trade with Egypt was $550 million of surplus.

The value of imports from Egypt was 53.5 per cent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $261 million. Major product categories of imports from Egypt were Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), representing 17.9 percent of imports, Sitc845 (articles of apparel, of textile fabrics, whether or not knitted or crocheted, n.e.s.) 9.9 % and Sitc843 (men's or boys' coats, capes, jackets, suits, blazers, trousers, shorts, shirts, underwear, nightwear and similar articles of textile fabrics, knitted or crocheted (other than those of subgroup 845.2)) 8.6 % of the imports.

The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc222 (oil-seeds and oleaginous fruits of a kind used for the extraction of *soft* fixed vegetable oils (excluding flours and meals)), which represented a share of 31.8 per cent of total exports, Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof) 22.7 % and Sitc342 (liquefied propane and butane) 9.8 % of the exports.

The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), worth $723 million. In export the largest value had Sitc222 (oil-seeds and oleaginous fruits of a kind used for the extraction of *soft* fixed vegetable oils (excluding flours and meals)), worth being $1.2 billion.
