USA's foreign trade with Kazakhstan, exports to Kazakhstan and imports from Kazakhstan in Juli 2021

The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In Juli Kazakhstan was USA's 74. most important foreign trade partner. Amounting trade to worth of $252 million was 90.8 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. In Juli the trade balance with Kazakhstan was $47 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Kazakhstan was 54.9 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to $149 million. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude) representing a share of 52.6 per cent. Other major product categories of imports were Sitc681 (silver, platinum and other metals of the platinum group), 14.5 percent of imports, Sitc897 (jewellery, goldsmiths' and silversmiths' wares, and other articles of precious or semiprecious materials, n.e.s.) 11.0 % and Sitc274 (sulphur and unroasted iron pyrites) 9.9 % of imports.

Exports to Kazakhstan more than doubled from the previous year's Juli. The value of exports was $102 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), which represented a share of 40.5 per cent of total exports, Sitc012 (other meat and edible meat offal, fresh, chilled or frozen (except meat and meat offal unfit or unsuitable for human consumption)) 10.4 % and Sitc713 (internal combustion piston engines and parts thereof, n.e.s.) 4.4 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods in early 2021

During January-Juli, trade in goods with Kazakhstan has grown faster than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-Juli of the previous year. Growth was as high as 81.4083396094199 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $1.5 billion. During January-Juli the value of imports was $1.1 billion. The export value was $375 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 132.7% and the value of exports by 10.5%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), worth $328 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $88 million. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-Juli remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $717 million. The trade deficit continued to widen compared to the corresponding period in 2020. At that time, the deficit was $130 million.
