USA's foreign trade with Kazakhstan, exports to Kazakhstan and imports from Kazakhstan in April 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In April Kazakhstan was USA's 83. largest foreign trade partner. Rise from the previous month 9 places. Most of the value of trade between the countries consists of the import to USA. Amounting trade to worth of $155 million was 55.8 per cent bigger than in April of the previous year. In April the trade balance with Kazakhstan was $85 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Kazakhstan was 270.4 per cent higher than in April of the previous year, thus amounting to $120 million. Major product categories of imports from Kazakhstan were Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), representing 38.3 percent of imports, Sitc897 (jewellery, goldsmiths' and silversmiths' wares, and other articles of precious or semiprecious materials, n.e.s.) 24.2 % and Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude) 23.4 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Kazakhstan amounted to more than a third lower relative to the previous year's April, thus amounting to $35 million in April 2021. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc012 (other meat and edible meat offal, fresh, chilled or frozen (except meat and meat offal unfit or unsuitable for human consumption)), which represented a share of 9.3 per cent of total exports, Sitc716 (rotating electric plant and parts thereof, n.e.s.) 6.0 % and Sitc723 (civil engineering and contractors' plant and equipment; parts thereof) 5.9 % of the exports.

Development during January-April 2021

During January-April, trade in goods with Kazakhstan has grown faster than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-April of the previous year. Growth was as high as 23.0185407595991 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $612 million. During January-April the value of imports was $420 million. The export value was $192 million. Compared to the corresponding period in 2020, the value of imports during this period increased by 54.3 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), worth $140 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $46 million. The value of exports during this period decreased by 14.7 %. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-April remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $228 million. The trade deficit continued to widen compared to the corresponding period in 2020. At that time, the deficit was $47 million.
