USA's foreign trade with Georgia, exports to Georgia and imports from Georgia in November 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In November Georgia was USA's 107. most important foreign trade partner. Weakening from the previous month was 10 places. Most of the the value of trade consists of USA's exports to Georgia. Amounting trade to worth of $58 million was 18.7 per cent bigger than in November of the previous year. During the month, the balance of trade with Georgia was $49 million of surplus.

The value of imports from Georgia decreased strongly, by 36.0 per cent compared to in November of the previous year. The import amounted to $4.8 million in November 2021. Major product categories of imports from Georgia were Sitc671 (pig-iron, spiegeleisen, sponge iron, iron or steel granules and powders and ferro-alloys), representing 39.2 percent of imports, Sitc112 (alcoholic beverages) 17.9 % and Sitc896 (works of art, collectors' pieces and antiques) 5.9 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Georgia were 28.6 percent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $54 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), which represented a share of 69.2 per cent of total exports, Sitc784 (parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of groups 722, 781, 782 and 783) 7.9 % and Sitc012 (other meat and edible meat offal, fresh, chilled or frozen (except meat and meat offal unfit or unsuitable for human consumption)) 7.7 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods in early 2021

During January-November, trade in goods with Georgia has grown faster than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-November of the previous year. Growth was as high as 39.3 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $746 million. During January-November the value of imports was $159 million. The export value was $588 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 20.6 % and the value of exports by 45.4 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc671 (pig-iron, spiegeleisen, sponge iron, iron or steel granules and powders and ferro-alloys), worth $96 million. In export the largest value had Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), worth being $351 million. The trade balance between USA and Georgian between January and November was in surplus for USA. The timing surplus was $429 million.
