USA's foreign trade with Argentina, exports to Argentina and imports from Argentina in Juli 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In Juli Argentina was USA's 38. most important foreign trade partner. Decrease from the previous month was 2 places. Amounting trade to worth of $1.3 billion was 51.2 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. During the month, the balance of trade with Argentina was $192 million of surplus.

The value of imports from Argentina was 43.7 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to $560 million. Major product categories of imports from Argentina were Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude), representing 15.5 percent of imports, Sitc971 (gold,non-monetary) 11.6 % and Sitc541 (medicinal and pharmaceutical products, other than medicaments of group 542) 8.8 % of the imports.

Exports to Argentina grew strongly over the previous year's Juli. The value of exports was $752 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc343 (natural gas, whether or not liquefied), which represented a share of 20.7 per cent of total exports, Sitc752 (automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, n.e.s.) 6.3 % and Sitc335 (residual petroleum products, n.e.s., and related materials) 6.1 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods in early 2021

During January-Juli trade in goods with Argentina has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-Juli of the previous year. Growth was as high as 22.3826722408558 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $7.0 billion. During January-Juli the value of imports was $2.6 billion. The export value was $4.3 billion. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 11.3% and the value of exports by 30.2%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc971 (gold,non-monetary), worth $389 million. In export the largest value had Sitc343 (natural gas, whether or not liquefied), worth being $411 million. The trade balance between USA and Argentinan between January and Juli was in surplus for USA. The timing surplus was $1.7 billion.
