The value of imports from Hungary was 30.1 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting now to €54 million. Major product categories of imports from Hungary were Sitc 781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), representing 27.5 per cent of imports, Sitc 772 (electrical apparatus for switching or protecting electrical circuits or for making connections to or in electrical circuits (e.g., switches, relays, fuses, lightning arresters, voltage limiters, surge suppressors, plugs and sockets, lamp-holders and) 7.0 % and Sitc 761 (monitors and projectors, not incorporating television reception apparatus; reception apparatus for television, whether or not incorporating radio-broadcast receivers or sound or video recording or reproducing apparatus) 5.1 % of the imports.
The value of exports to Hungary were 26.7 percent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to €27 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc 776 (thermionic, cold cathode or photo-cathode valves and tubes (e.g., vacuum or vapour or gas-filled valves and tubes, mercury arc rectifying valves and tubes, cathode-ray tubes, television camera tubes); diodes, transistors and similar semiconductor dev), which represented a share of 22.8 per cent of total exports, Sitc 641 (paper and paperboard) 12.9 % and Sitc 874 (measuring, checking, analysing and controlling instruments and apparatus, n.e.s.) 7.2 % of the exports.
