Finland's foreign trade with Czech Republic, exports to Czech Republic and imports from Czech Republic in Juli 2026

Czech Republic's share of Finland's foreign trade in goods in Juli 2026 represented a share of 1.5 per cent. Share of Finland's that month's exports was 0.7 % and 2.3 % of imports. In Juli Czech Republic was Finland's 17. largest foreign trade partner. Weakening from the previous month was 2 places. Most of the value of trade between the countries consists of the import to Finland. Amounting trade to worth of €212 million was 65.3 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. For Finland, the trade balance with Czech Republic was in considerable deficit in Juli. The amount of the month's deficit was €114 million.

The value of imports from Czech Republic was 99.2 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting now to €163 million. Major product categories of imports from Czech Republic were Sitc 752 (automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, n.e.s.), representing 44.1 per cent of imports, Sitc 781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars) 10.7 % and Sitc 772 (electrical apparatus for switching or protecting electrical circuits or for making connections to or in electrical circuits (e.g., switches, relays, fuses, lightning arresters, voltage limiters, surge suppressors, plugs and sockets, lamp-holders and) 2.8 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Czech Republic were 5.2 percent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to €49 million. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc 744 (mechanical handling equipment and parts thereof, n.e.s.), which represented a share of 9.9 per cent of total exports, Sitc 682 (copper) 8.7 % and Sitc 675 (flat-rolled products of alloy steel) 8.4 % of the exports.

Significant increase in trade in goods between Finland and Czech Republic in early 2026

During January-Juli, trade in goods with Czech Republic has grown faster than Finnish trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-Juli of the previous year. Growth was as high as 29.1 per cent and the value of the trade increased to €1.2 billion. During January-Juli the value of imports was €875 million. The export value was €373 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 43.3 % and the value of exports by 4.8 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc 752 (automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, n.e.s.), worth €197 million. In export the largest value had Sitc 744 (mechanical handling equipment and parts thereof, n.e.s.), worth being €36 million. From Finland's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-Juli remained in deficit. The trade deficit was €502 million. The trade deficit continued to widen compared to the corresponding period in 2025. At that time, the deficit was €255 million.
