USA's foreign trade with Algeria, exports to Algeria and imports from Algeria in Juli 2021

The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In Juli Algeria was USA's 79. most important foreign trade partner. Most of the value of trade between the countries consists of the import to USA. Amounting trade to worth of $218 million was 166.2 per cent bigger than in Juli of the previous year. In Juli the trade balance with Algeria was $151 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Algeria was 570.1 per cent higher than in Juli of the previous year, thus amounting to $184 million. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar) representing a share of 59.7 per cent. Other major product categories of imports were Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude), 14.7 percent of imports, Sitc676 (iron and steel bars, rods, angles, shapes and sections (including sheet piling)) 13.9 % and Sitc562 (fertilizers (other than those of group 272)) 10.2 % of imports.

The value of exports to Algeria amounted to more than a third lower relative to the previous year's Juli, thus amounting to $34 million in Juli 2021. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc251 (pulp and waste paper), which represented a share of 16.4 per cent of total exports, Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof) 10.2 % and Sitc057 (fruit and nuts (not including oil nuts), fresh or dried) 9.7 % of the exports.

During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-Juli of the previous year. Growth was as high as 90.3530437123364 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $1.5 billion. During January-Juli the value of imports was $978 million. The export value was $489 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 196.5% and the value of exports by 10.9%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc333 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude), worth $352 million. In export the largest value had Sitc714 (engines and motors, non-electric (other than those of groups 712, 713 and 718); parts, n.e.s., of these engines and motors), worth being $63 million. The trade balance in goods between the two countries between January and Juli last year had been in surplus when it had a deficit in the corresponding period of the current year. The trade deficit was $489 million.
