USA's foreign trade with Bahrain, exports to Bahrain and imports from Bahrain in November 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In November Bahrain was USA's 74. most important foreign trade partner. Improvement from the previous month was 5 places. Amounting trade to worth of $296 million was 208.2 per cent bigger than in November of the previous year. In November the trade balance with Bahrain was $32 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Bahrain was 312.4 per cent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $164 million. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc684 (aluminium) representing a share of 65.0 per cent. Other major product categories of imports were Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), 7.6 percent of imports, Sitc582 (plates, sheets, film, foil and strip, of plastics) 7.1 % and Sitc682 (copper) 6.2 % of imports.

Exports to Bahrain more than doubled from the previous year's November. The value of exports was $132 million.

Significant increase in trade in goods in early 2021

During January-November, trade in goods with Bahrain has grown faster than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During this year trade in goods between countries was significantly higher than in January-November of the previous year. Growth was as high as 43.7 per cent and the value of the trade increased to $1.9 billion. During January-November the value of imports was $1.0 billion. The export value was $848 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 77.8 % and the value of exports by 16.2 %. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc684 (aluminium), worth $580 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $196 million. The trade balance in goods between the two countries between January and November last year had been in surplus when it had a deficit in the corresponding period of the current year. The trade deficit was $200 million.
