USA's foreign trade with Bahrain, exports to Bahrain and imports from Bahrain in April 2021


The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In April Bahrain was USA's 85. largest foreign trade partner. Rise from the previous month 9 places. Amounting trade to worth of $144 million was 17.2 per cent bigger than in April of the previous year. In April the trade balance with Bahrain was $22 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Bahrain was 18.1 per cent higher than in April of the previous year, thus amounting to $83 million. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc684 (aluminium) representing a share of 51.6 per cent. Other major product categories of imports were Sitc281 (iron ore and concentrates), 18.3 percent of imports, Sitc658 (made-up articles, wholly or chiefly of textile materials, n.e.s.) 6.3 % and Sitc931 (special transactions and commodities not classified according to kind) 6.0 % of imports.

The value of exports to Bahrain were 16.0 percent higher than in April of the previous year, thus amounting to $61 million.

Development during January-April 2021

During January-April trade in goods with Bahrain has grown slower than USA's trade in goods with the rest of the world. During January-April, the value of trade in goods between the two countries rose to $606 million. Growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was 8.6 percent. During January-April the value of imports was $293 million. The export value was $313 million. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of imports increased by 10.1% and the value of exports by 7.1%. The largest product group in terms of imports has been Sitc684 (aluminium), worth $156 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $91 million. The trade balance between USA and Bahrainin between January and April was in surplus for USA. The timing surplus was $20 million.
