The value of imports from Armenia was 32.5 per cent higher than in September of the previous year, thus amounting to $7.2 million. Major product categories of imports from Armenia were Sitc667 (pearls and precious or semiprecious stones, unworked or worked), representing 44.2 percent of imports, Sitc776 (thermionic, cold cathode or photo-cathode valves and tubes (e.g., vacuum or vapour or gas-filled valves and tubes, mercury arc rectifying valves and tubes, cathode-ray tubes, television camera tubes); diodes, transistors and similar semiconductor dev) 15.1 % and Sitc842 (women's or girls' coats, capes, jackets, suits, trousers, shorts, shirts, dresses and skirts, underwear, nightwear and similar articles of textile fabrics, not knitted or crocheted (other than those of subgroup 845.2)) 8.1 % of the imports.
The value of exports to Armenia declined considerably,by 51.8 per cent, compared to in September of the previous year, thus amounting to $9.6 million in September 2023. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), which represented a share of 36.2 per cent of total exports, Sitc784 (parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of groups 722, 781, 782 and 783) 16.4 % and Sitc752 (automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, n.e.s.) 7.3 % of the exports.
