The value of imports from Niger decreased strongly, by 41.3 per cent compared to in October of the previous year. The import amounted to $1.6 million in October 2023. The main part of the import value came from 931 (Sitc special transactions and commodities not classified according to kind) imports, this representing 87.9 percent of total imports. The second major category of imports was Sitc721 (agricultural machinery (excluding tractors) and parts thereof), corresponding to the share of 5.9 per cent of imports.
The value of exports to Niger declined considerably,by 77.6 per cent, compared to in October of the previous year, thus amounting to $1.7 million in October 2023. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), which represented a share of 25.7 per cent of total exports, Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars) 23.2 % and Sitc764 (telecommunications equipment, n.e.s., and parts, n.e.s., and accessories of apparatus falling within division 76) 19.7 % of the exports.
