The value of imports from Lithuania decreased by 23.4 per cent compared to in September of the previous year, thus amounting to $147 million in September 2023. Major product categories of imports from Lithuania were Sitc334 (petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude); preparations, n.e.s., containing by weight 70% or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the prepar), representing 28.2 percent of imports, Sitc598 (miscellaneous chemical products, n.e.s.) 17.1 % and Sitc821 (furniture and parts thereof; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions and similar stuffed furnishings) 13.0 % of the imports.
The value of exports to Lithuania declined by 14.1 per cent compared to in September of the previous year, thus amounting to $214 million in September 2023. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), which represented a share of 39.9 per cent of total exports, Sitc343 (natural gas, whether or not liquefied) 20.3 % and Sitc034 (fish, fresh (live or dead), chilled or frozen) 10.4 % of the exports.
