The value of imports from Georgia decreased strongly, by 72.4 per cent compared to in November of the previous year. The import amounted to $7.6 million in November 2020. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc511 (hydrocarbons, n.e.s., and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives) representing a share of 64.6 per cent. The second major category of imports was Sitc112 (alcoholic beverages), corresponding to the share of 7.1 per cent of imports.
The value of exports to Georgia declined by 22.5 per cent compared to in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $42 million in November 2020. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), which represented a share of 34.5 per cent of total exports, Sitc041 (wheat (including spelt) and meslin, unmilled) 16.0 % and Sitc764 (telecommunications equipment, n.e.s., and parts, n.e.s., and accessories of apparatus falling within division 76) 7.7 % of the exports.
