The value of imports from Georgia was 351.8 per cent higher than in February of the previous year, thus amounting to $7.7 million. More than half of the value of imports was in Sitc511 (hydrocarbons, n.e.s., and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives) representing a share of 72.2 per cent. The second major category of imports was Sitc671 (pig-iron, spiegeleisen, sponge iron, iron or steel granules and powders and ferro-alloys), corresponding to the share of 6.1 per cent of imports.
The value of exports to Georgia amounted to more than a third lower relative to the previous year's February, thus amounting to $32 million in February 2021. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc781 (motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than motor vehicles for the transport of ten or more persons, including the driver), including station-wagons and racing cars), which represented a share of 66.4 per cent of total exports, Sitc784 (parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of groups 722, 781, 782 and 783) 9.5 % and Sitc012 (other meat and edible meat offal, fresh, chilled or frozen (except meat and meat offal unfit or unsuitable for human consumption)) 5.7 % of the exports.
