USA's foreign trade with Poland, exports to Poland and imports from Poland in November 2020

The text of the following analysis is produced by a computer program. The program is a test version and its rule base at this stage is still quite limited.

In November Poland was USA's 38. largest foreign trade partner. $1.1 billion worth of trade was 2.6 per cent lower than in November of the previous year. In November the trade balance with Poland was $335 million in deficit for United States of America.

The value of imports from Poland was 7.3 per cent higher than in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $699 million. Major product categories of imports from Poland were Sitc714 (engines and motors, non-electric (other than those of groups 712, 713 and 718); parts, n.e.s., of these engines and motors), representing 7.2 percent of imports, Sitc899 (miscellaneous manufactured articles, n.e.s.) 6.2 % and Sitc784 (parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of groups 722, 781, 782 and 783) 5.7 % of the imports.

The value of exports to Poland declined by 17.2 per cent compared to in November of the previous year, thus amounting to $364 million in November 2020. The largest product groups of exports were: Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), which represented a share of 16.2 per cent of total exports, Sitc891 (arms and ammunition) 8.3 % and Sitc752 (automatic data-processing machines and units thereof; magnetic or optical readers, machines for transcribing data onto data media in coded form and machines for processing such data, n.e.s.) 3.8 % of the exports.

Development during January-November 2020

The trade in goods between January and November of 2020 was of lesser value than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The value of the trade was $12.4 billion, down 5.9 %. During January-November the value of imports was $7.9 billion. The export value was $4.5 billion. Compared to the corresponding period in 2019, the value of imports during this period increased by 2.6 %. The largest value in imports was in Sitc714 (engines and motors, non-electric (other than those of groups 712, 713 and 718); parts, n.e.s., of these engines and motors), worth $694 million. In export the largest value had Sitc792 (aircraft and associated equipment; spacecraft (including satellites) and spacecraft launch vehicles; parts thereof), worth being $871 million. The value of exports during this period decreased by 17.7 %. From USA's point of view, the trade balance between the countries in January-November remained in deficit. The trade deficit was $3.4 billion. The trade deficit continued to widen compared to the corresponding period in 2019. At that time, the deficit was $2.2 billion.
